Rural and Urban Development Initiative RUDI attends Ebute-Metta West Security Summit held on the 3 of April, 2016.

The problem of Gangsterism, Cultism, revealed its ugly head couple of years ago and the mayhem unleashed on the community remained perennial for several months, in spite of the spirited efforts made by well- meaning individuals to find sustainable peace.
Some like minded people with passion for peaceful co-existence of the neighborhood came up with the idea of the Summit, desirous in finding lasting solution to the menace, hindering the progress of the community. 

Among the dignitaries present in the Summit were,  Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations Lagos State Command , Hon. Jide Jimoh (member, House of Representatives, Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency), Director of SS, Hon Omolola Rashidat Essien Executive Secretary of Lagos Mainland Local Govt  the DPO Iponri Police Station Mr. Adepoju Olugbenga, Hon. Chief M.A.K. Lawal the Baale Ago-Ijebu Ijero Ebute-Metta (West), Rural and Urban Development initiative representative, and Spaces for Change representative and over 300 residence were present and concerned citizen across the community . 
The community presented two refurbished police patrol vans handed to the DPO of Iporin Police Station to be manned by the police and Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) a governmental accredited security outfit.


A resolution was made that the VGN are to be on hand Day and Night to ward of the miscreants and allow peace to reign and business to thrive in the community.
